Gardenia Jasminoides is beautiful delicate plant kept for its stunning fragrance and abundance of beautiful white flowers. Its a native of Myanmar and China and has been cultivated for thousands of years filling any room with a gorgeous fresh fragrance.
The white flowers of the Gardenia Jasminoides have a matte texture, in contrast to the glossy green leaves. They can be quite large, up to 9 to 10 cm in diameter. They gradually take on a delicate creamy yellow colour and a waxy type surface. They are among the most strongly fragrant of all flowers found in the wild.
In Polynesia the gragrent flowers are used as necklaces and in China the leaves are used for Tea for their fragrence.
Keep this plant in a space with good air circulation which will encourage good growth and promote flower growth.
