Madagascar Palm is a fascinating houseplant, its trunk expands with water which helps it survive in really hot, dry climates.  The name ‘Pachypodium’ means ‘thick foot’ because of its water storing capabilities.
 
The leaves of this style plant burst from the crown and drop down as they grow, giving Pachypodium Lamerei its characteristic looks and charm.  They are variegated - dark green and cream stripe - giving it a striking look.
