This unusual cactus is commonly known as octopus arms on account of its unusual growth. A native of Ethiopia and Kenya it grows on arid and open ground and cliffs in direct sun so need good light to thrive.
An unusual looking cactus that gets better with age and can be grown as a pot or a hanging plant. Interestingly no spikes on this cactus so can be handled without gloves. It does flower most years with small yellow flowers along the arms but you really keep this cactus for its structure and unusual shape.
A very cool small cactus for any collection and perfect for a sunny window sill or shelf.
